Important note: while this may seem overly obvious, it’s worth mentioning you do need a valid Nintendo Switch Online membership to play those games. It includes all the NES, SNES, and Game Boy games, but also the Nintendo 64, the Game Boy Advance, and the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive games (those last three platforms require the Expansion Pack). Naturally, we will keep on updating it as more games are announced and added (and removed, if Nintendo ever plans to remove any). On this page, we’re going to list all the games available as part of the Nintendo Switch Online membership service. 20 games were made available at launch on September 18th/19th 2018, and more will be added on a regular basis. ![]() But those are not mere “Virtual Console” titles: they are actually playable online, which obviously wasn’t the case of their original versions. As part of the paid Nintendo Switch Online service, Nintendo is offering access to a catalogue of retro games. ![]()
